Hi, we are Avoca Park Equestrian and we are in desperate need of help to feed our horses. You may already be aware that Victoria is currently experiencing a drought. This means there is no natural feed in our paddocks and a low production of hay in Victoria. With the scarcity of hay, the prices have skyrocketed. In the 35 years that we have owned Avoca Park we have never experienced extreme circumstances like this.
Each year Avoca Park purchases $15,000 worth of hay in January and this would normally last us the entire year. When we hit the end of June we ran out of our year's stock due to there being no natural feed in the paddocks. Leanne and John have delved into all emergency funds to purchase whatever we can but it will not be enough for our horses to survive the upcoming months.
We are in desperate need of help! (OR HAY!!!!) We would appreciate anything you could contribute towards our cause.
We have organised a fundraising day on the 6th September 9am-3pm at Avoca Park Equestrian! The event will involve a $20 Entry card which includes 10 x $2 activities. Cards can be purchased via GoFundMe donations or purchased in the day!
