Festival Fanfare 2025

Ely Arts Festival will kick off with a large scale fanfare on Palace Green! The multi-ability 'Etheldreda's Fanfare' has been commissioned by the festival for this special occasion, composed by David Sims.

The fanfare will last for no more than 2 minutes (at most). The performance will be conducted by Chris Parsons, Artistic Director of the Ely Arts Festival and Head of Performance Music at King's Ely Prep School. This promises to be a very exciting event to open the festival.

Do you play an instrument? No matter your grade, age or length of time playing, everyone is welcome to play! We are hoping to welcome over 100 brass & woodwind players for this exciting event - click the link below to join in!
