Join us on May 6th, 2025, at Grand River Raceway for Growing Local Food Connections, a gathering celebrating our local food culture! We'll be bringing together people who care about good food to share stories, learn from each other, and build strong, respectful relationships between those who grow our food and those who enjoy it. It's a chance to connect, find resources, and strengthen our community's food spirit. We'll hear about farming in Wellington County, the inspiring work of young farmers and community-focused organizations, what is ‘Canadian food’, how we're working towards food justice in Guelph-Wellington, and how you can support local farmers.
This is a free event! RSVP by Tuesday, April 29th to secure your spot.

Keynote Speaker: Cheyenne Sundance,
Cheyenne Sundance is an ecological farmer and living wage employer who cultivates 2 acres of a diverse array of cut-flowers, herbs, vegetables, fruit and laying flock of hens in Mount Forest, Ontario at her farm called Sundance Harvest. With a strong interest in incubators, community land trusts and cooperative farming she co-founded Sundance Commons, a non-profit that provides the tools, training and long-term land access for farmers historically-excluded from the agricultural sector at its four incubation farms across southwestern Ontario. Sundance Commons provides all these resources at no cost to new farmers and aligns with the spirit of community land trusts.
