Curious about making your own patterned papers or painted designs for journaling, collage, or snail mail? Come play with color and texture in this hands-on Gelli-Printing workshop! Using a reusable gel plate, you’ll learn how to layer paint, experiment with texture tools, and pull beautiful monoprints—no press required and no experience needed! If you can smear paint, you’re all set.
In this 3-hour session, you’ll learn:
- The basics of Gelli printing—how to load paint and pull prints without turning everything to mud
- Fun ways to add textures using stencils, lace, found objects, and tools
- Tips for layering and creating cohesive sets of prints
- Whether you’re a journaler, crafter, or just need a creative break, you’ll leave with a colorful pile of prints and ideas to keep going at home.
What’s included:
- Paper to make your own customized prints
- Your finished prints to bring home - in this 3-hour session, most attendees can expect to finish at least 3 prints depending on complexity
- Use of a Gelli plate and brayer (for in-class use only)
- Variety of stencils, texture tools, and quality acrylic paints (for in-class use only)
