Anne Frank's words and life are primarily held up as demonstrating an optimism about the basic goodness of the human spirit, even in the face of horrific tragedy.
Today on the Jewish Day of Mourning, Tisha B'Av, we explore other messages and moral lessons from her short life, made famous by the discovery of the plaid covered diary she kept in the midst of the Holocaust.
Nancy Hardt is the service leader.
