The film has received very positive critical acclaim for originality, vision, cinematography, music and more. Rotten Tomatoes says the consensus is: "A rip-roaring fusion of masterful visual storytelling and toe-tapping music, writer-director Ryan Coogler's first original blockbuster reveals the full scope of his singular imagination."
While "Sinners" features elements of horror like vampires, blood, and suspense, it also delves into themes of racial injustice, social commentary, and historical drama.
