Great Northern Trail
Meet in the Meadowvale Elementary School Parking Lot.
12701 Elk Lake Rd NW, Elk River, MN 55330
Directions:
Take Hwy. 10 into Elk River.
Turn left onto Cty. Rd. 1 (Proctor Ave NW) at the stoplight.
This becomes Elk Lake Road NW
Turn right on Vernon Street NW.
20 miles round trip on flat paved trail.
The trail is an abandoned railroad grade. iIt is a paved trail that runs from County Road 1 to
Zimmerman. The trail is a part of and also has access to Woodland Trails Regional Park,
a beautiful 427 acre park with dense woods, prairies, and wetlands.
