42nd Turtlerama - Annual educational event hosted by the Sacramento Turtle and Tortoise Club

Join us for the 42nd Annual Turtlerama! Founded by Felice Rood, Turtlerama is an educational event hosted by the Sacramento Turtle and Tortoise Club, and is free to the public.

We encourage anyone who is considering keeping a turtle or tortoise as a pet and those who want to enrich the lives of the turtles or tortoises in their care to attend and learn how to care for them in captivity.

Attendees can
- look at miniature exhibits that highlight key aspects of enclosure design
- learn about species that do well outdoors here in the Sacramento region
- learn about safe plants and weeds that you can use in the enclosure
- ask questions about captive care
- apply to adopt
- interact with adoptable animals at the Northern California Herpetological Society booth, and
- kids can engage in coloring and other kid friendly activities in our kids corner
