With over 60 years of stand-up experience between them, Alan Francis & Andy Valvur are bringing their greatest hits to the stage for this special evening!

Upon the show not selling out, there will be drop-in door tickets for last-minute deciders @ 25eur per ticket, first come basis, payable via cash or tikkie on the door.

The show has non-numbered seating, sit where you like upon entering. The closer to the stage the better, maybe you'll become part of the show :)
Headliner bios:
Alan Francis (Scotland)
After winning Channel 4's So you Think You’re Funny at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival, Alan's been a regular on UK and International stages and done TV stand-up a number of times. TV credits include Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge, The BBC Stand-Up Show and The Alan Davies Show. Alan's also been in the dramas Between the Lines and Taggart and performed theatre in the West End, at The Royal Court and The National Theatre of Scotland. His show, Inside Alan Francis, aired on Radio 4 during lockdown.

Andy Valvur (Estonia/USA)
Andy began his comedy career at legendary San Francisco comedy clubs like the Holy City Zoo, Cobbs and The Other Cafe in the 1980s. Since then, he has worked at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles as well as the IMPROV and Catch a Rising Star in New York. He has performed in Australia, and also recently headlined the Cologne International Comedy Festival. As a writer he has written for the San Francisco Chronicle, Maxim, Cosmopolitan and the New York Times. He was also a writer for political comic Will Durst’s Emmy nominated PBS show “The Durst Amendment” and Dan Aykroyd’s House of Blues Radio Hour. As a voice-over actor he has appeared in video games such as Star Trek, Top Gun, Psychonauts and others.

Julian Oakes (UK)
Julian is an entertainer with over 20 years of experience charming audiences everywhere (including Bornholm and the Faroe islands!). A true legend of a man, he is the "dirty uncle" you never knew you loved, and is sure to tickle the funny bones, skirts and pants off of everyone in attendance with his twistedly dark, clever and no-holds-barred style of comedy!

Our history and motto:
Established all the way back in Nov 2011 when we started doing shows at The Hub on Vestdijk, Eindhoven English Comedy Nights now calls the lovely LAB-1 cinema its home. The shows are all about enjoying great stand-up comedy in English in a lovely setting great for meeting expats and internationally-minded social Dutch natives! Who knows what'll happen! Each show has a fun mix of at least one pro headliner comedian flown in with support acts made up of stars of tomorrow, rookies & stars of yesterday :) + an MC host guiding you through the evening who's usually from Canada, Ireland or the UK!
