Anuvab Pal (India)
The New York Times calls Anuvab Pal ‘India’s most intelligent comedian.’ The BBC calls him India’s answer to British wit. Anuvab’s stand-up comedy special Empire, a comedy show based on the history of the British Empire in India, has played in 12 cities worldwide and been called “Spectacular” by CNN and “A laugh riot with brilliant ideas” by NDTV. Empire can now be seen as a comedy special on Amazon Prime UK, part of Soho Theatre Live Series 3. Anuvab is the only Indian stand-up comedian after Russel Peters to sell out The Gotham Comedy Club in New York in record time. Anuvab is also a prolific writer and was the screenwriter of the Bollywood films Loins Of Punjab Presents & The President Is Coming, both of which screened at leading film festivals around the world. As well as the author of 4 hit stage plays: 1 888 Dial India, The Bureaucrat, and Chaos Theory, which have become bestselling novels published by Random House and Picador respectively, and The President Is Coming, which was developed by the Royal Court Theatre in London.

Based in London, Nik Coppin has performed all over the world and developed an international cult following, having performed many solo shows at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, all over Australia and the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles. His confident, affable and energetic style of comedy is quick to build audience rapport, as he talks about subjects as wide-ranging as observations on human nature and his extensive knowledge of wildlife, superheroes, current affairs and his mixed-race upbringing in London with a mother from England and a father from Barbados.

Our history and motto:
Established all the way back in Nov 2011 when we started doing shows at The Hub on Vestdijk, Eindhoven English Comedy Nights now calls the lovely LAB-1 cinema its home. The shows are all about enjoying great stand-up comedy in English in a lovely setting great for meeting expats and internationally-minded social Dutch natives! Who knows what'll happen! Each show has a fun mix of at least one pro headliner comedian flown in with support acts made up of stars of tomorrow, rookies & stars of yesterday :) + an MC host guiding you through the evening who's usually from Canada, Ireland or the UK!
