Key Information
All chili must be cooked on-site the day of the event.
Cooking begins at 12:00 PM; tasting and judging start at 5:00 PM.
Prepare a minimum of 3 gallons of chili (equivalent to one 12-quart pot or two 6-quart crockpots).
Participants must bring their own ingredients, supplies, and cooking equipment.
Chili must be homemade – no store-bought mixes or pre-made products allowed.
Entries will be judged by both the public and a secret panel of judges.

Fan Favorite (based on public votes)
All participants will receive a custom apron for taking part.
Ingredients
Use your favorite recipe, with or without meat, with or without beans, as hot or mild as you like. Meat may be beef, pork, lamb, chicken or turkey or wild meat. Veggie (meatless chili) is okay. Beans are not mandatory. Ingredients may be cut, shredded or ground to any size.
Please have a list of the meats used for allergy purposes.
If peanuts or peanut oil is used, please display a warning sign.
You may NOT use canned, store-bought chili, or mixes.
All ingredients must be cooked on-site at the event, and each team must provide all cooking equipment/ heating needs that will be utilized during the cook-off.
There is no reimbursement for ingredient costs.
Sanitation Guidelines
Hands must be washed and sanitized
Rubber gloves/latex gloves are encouraged to be worn while serving chili
No smoking
Participants are encouraged to wear hats
Please keep the area as clean as possible.
Trash cans will be available within the area
Participants must follow in-home food safety standards. Gloves, handwashing, and allergen labeling are required. Full guidelines can be found at FDA Food Safety at Home.
