Description
An awesome one day class with Terry Rowland where you will learn a cool collage technique to build your own Raven. Terry will discuss many ways to finish your project, using different backgrounds that can make your project look completely different.
Terry provides great instruction and detailed tips to allow all levels to come and build their own Raven.
Terry Rowland lives in Alberta and is a well-known name in the quilting community as an innovative and creative quilter. Terry provides many different courses in paper piecing and collage and has taught and presented at Quilt Canada 2024. Terry has won several awards for her own designs, with the most recent being at the 2025 Central Alberta Quilters’ Guild.
What Does the Student Bring to Class?
Black Sharpie fine point (not extra fine point)
Good scissors (i.e. Karen Kay Buckley size medium - blue handle)
Cutting Mat (12” X 18” will work)
Rotary Cutter
Appliqué iron sheet or parchment paper
Small travel Iron and iron mat
Note: if using a wool mat, an iron mat is still needed to protect the table surface
Small irons can be shared between two people
Lunch
Indoor shoes
Note: Water, tea and coffee will be available free of charge.
A kit is included in the registration and includes the following:
Raven pattern
All pre-fused fabric to make Raven
Pre-printed image on foundation
In addition, the following supplies will be available for use by all:
Two full size irons and boards
