Feather Paperless Piecing

Description
Have you ever thought about learning paper piecing, or are you already paper piecing and would like to learn something new? Be a rebel, throw away the paper, and venture into paperless piecing!
During this one-day class, Terry will lead you step by step in learning this fantastic technique. You will learn as you make this colourful feather wall hanging.
Terry Rowland lives in Alberta and is a well-known name in the quilting community as an innovative and creative quilter. Terry provides many different courses in paper piecing and collage and has taught and presented at Quilt Canada 2024. Terry has won several awards for her own designs, with the most recent being at the 2025 Central Alberta Quilters’ Guild.
What Does the Student Bring to Class?
Sewing machine- in good working order
Size 12 needle
White thread and 2 - 3 Pre-wound bobbins (white)
Template plastic for folding -approx. 2” by 12”
Small travel Iron and iron mat
Note: if using a wool mat, an iron mat is still needed to protect the table surface
Small irons can be shared between two people
Small cutting mat
Add a quarter ruler (if you are buying one get one called Add A Quarter Plus it has a folding edge on it also)
Rotary cutter
Ruler 24”
Fabric scissors
Paper scissors
Seam ripper
Pins
Pen and paper for taking notes
Lunch
Indoor shoes
In addition, the following supplies will be available for use by all:
Two full size irons and boards
Two large cutting mats
Note: Water, tea, and coffee are available free of charge.
A kit is included in the registration and includes the following:

Pre-printed freezer paper templates
Rainbow fabric for feather and white background
