About the author
Maggie Byrd, a Scottish writer and mum of two has crafted an uplifting and playful story that blends the warmth of family togetherness with key early years learning. As a parent and teacher, Maggie understands the learning opportunity making things together can create. She has written a hope-filled story to share with younger children about how to brighten a rainy day. Rainbow Cookies cleverly mixes a charming story with growth and development baked in. Her gentle tale celebrates the simple joy of baking together. A story that she hopes parents, grandparents, and carers will enjoy sharing with little ones as they name colours, count, sing, and learn the value of ‘not yet!’
