Croftathon

It has been a tough year for the environmental charity Earth in Common and for Leith Community Croft. And so we have been working on a whole series of fund-raising events for the end of January, including the Croftathon, our spin on the concept of a Backyard Ultra. as many laps of the Croft and Leith Links West as you want, 5 kms an hour, from 9 am to 9 pm on January 25. Entries open today.

On the Friday night January 23 we will be having long-distance runners talk on the theme of Endurance, including international ultramarathon runner Ivor Normand. My longest distance is 2 marathons + a parkrun. Ivor has run the equivalent of 5 normal marathons in a single go. And there will be a Burns supper thrown in.
