Singing, inspiring talks, poems, reflections, chats, community, tea and cake - that's Sunday Assembly!
"A better future is possible if we educate for it." That's the outlook from Educators for Peace, a network of educators from multiple sectors including schools, colleges, community education and universities. We will be joined by co-founder Dr Jehan Al Azzawi, who says that education for peace has an essential role to play in equipping young people with the knowledge, skills and - most importantly of all - the values and attitudes to reject and resist war, racism and oppression in favour of peace, social justice and liberation. Jehan spoke very well at the Sunday Assembly Glasgow gathering, and we are looking forward to welcoming her.
There will be our usual mix of singing great songs together with the house band, reflections, chats, tea and cake and community all in a non-religious setting. Let's celebrate this amazing life together.
