To mark Mental Health Awareness Week you're invited to join us for an opportunity to explore human connection through conversation. Find out more on Instagram @convo.project
Social interaction and meaningful conversation are crucial for combating feelings of isolation and loneliness - two major contributors to common mental health challenges. By combining movement, nature and dialogue, this social experience offers a powerful way to boost wellbeing and expand your social circle.
What to expect:
Welcoming, fun environment to make new connections and take part in open and meaningful conversations.
Random, small group matches: allowing you to connect with people you’ve never met before.
Conversation prompts: carefully curated to spark meaningful discussions, helping you delve into topics that matter and create memorable interactions.
The event will start in front of the Collective Gallery on top of Calton Hill.
Bring your own hot drink and we'll gather at the end to share our experiences and explore future events.
Tickets are split into two categories:
We want to make our events accessible to everyone. If the cost of a ticket is a barrier to participation, get in touch as we can offer a small number of free tickets.
Important information for participants:
By taking part in this experience, you accept full responsibility for your own health and safety. The organisers are present solely to facilitate and support the group.
• Dress for the weather. Calton Hill is accessible by way of a small flight of stairs and a steep path (approx 50m long) that you can find on Waterloo Place at the East End of Princes Street. Once on top of the hill the terrain is flat and easy for walking. There are multiple paths and lots of benches if you need a break.
• Bring your own tea/coffee or a cold drink and snack.
• Public toilets are located at the north side of the Collective Gallery on Calton Hill, beneath the Lookout Restaurant. A 50p donation is requested. Disabled toilets are available inside the City Observatory on request.
• Bring a camera or note book if you'd like to document your experience.
