Flower Press Workshop

Join guest teacher Patty Wollum of Blue Sky Retreat for this fun + informative hands-on workshop! Preserve the beauty of nature by creating a beautiful flower press – one so special it may become a family heirloom. A flower press is a great way to preserve those lovely summer garden blooms or special flowers (wedding, anniversary etc.) Press your flowers all growing season and spend the cold Wisconsin Winters enjoying the rewards, using the pressed flowers in crafts + projects of all sorts!

In this class, you will sand, paint, stain, stamp and stencil your wooden flower press to make it uniquely yours. We will then assemble it with all the papers and cardboard needed to press your flowers successfully. Patty will share her secrets to achieving colorful pressed flowers.

Examples of which flowers work the best for pressing will be available to view and purchase from the Down to Earth staff. Demonstrations of fun + easy crafts and home décor you can create with your flowers will be included in this class.

$60 class fee covers all training + materials needed to create your flower press!
