Spend the day with our partnership of community artists, heritage experts, rangers and volunteers, discovering installations inspired by the chalk grasslands, wildlife and ancient history of Butts Brow.
Whatβs on:
π¨ 10.30am β Morning artist workshops
β’ Join Loupe Cooper in Butts Lane Meadow (Little Sheepdown) and explore meadow flowers, moths and ancient maps through art and close observation
OR
β’ Join Ruthie Martin by Butts Brow Car Park and create imaginative, tactile responses to the land and its sounds
πΆ 12β1pm β Guided walk
Walk the Downland Art Trail: Explore a beautiful and thought-provoking trail of Eastbourne Downland-inspired artwork.
π¨ 2pm β Afternoon artist workshops
Head to the artist you didnβt meet in the morning and try something new!
β¨ All day:
β’ Chat with heritage and ecology experts (and handle local ancient artefacts!)
β’ Try your hand at fleece felting
β’ Find out how you can help care for this rare and beautiful landscape
