# Event Details - **Event Name**: 40k Midsummer Mega Mash Up! - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 10 Aug, 2025 at 10:00 am – Sun, 10 Aug, 2025 at 06:00 pm - **Event Description**: Gather your battle buddies for a 3 vs 3 mash up! 4 teams of 3 players each, 2 matches, 1000pts per player. Rules List Composition: All 1000pt armies must consist of at least 2x 'battleline' units. Further rules have not been imposed, but we would ask when building your lists, you bare in mind this is essentially a 3000pt game which the core rules are not always made for and, the idea is to have a fun and friendly game in the unusual format of a 3v3. Deepstrike: Each player will have a pool of 250pts worth of units they are able to place in deepstrike (750pts per team) Command Points: Each player will gain a CP at the start of a new turn in the normal way, any additional CP generated through units e.g. The Swarmlord will go into a 'team pool' that can be used by anyone on that team. Match ups & Maps: The event will consist of 2 games both played on 60'x 88' maps with heavier terrain in the center to give the players in the middle a good degree of cover. 1st game match ups will be randomly drawn, as will the table assignment and lastly, the side of deployment. 2nd game we consist of the winning teams from each table going head to head, with the losing sides fighting it out for 3rd place. Table and deployment side will be once again be drawn randomly (toss of a coin, winning toss choosing). Deployment & Objectives: Both tables will use the 'Dawn Of War' deployment, depolying on the 88' side of the 60' x 88' maps. There will be 6x objective markers on each map, 2x staggered in each deployment zone and 2x in the center. Scoring: We will compare VP, in the event of a tie, the highest Primary VP wins, in the event of a tie there, the highest secondary VP wins. In the unlikely event of further ties we will look at units killed and units remaining. Points for Paint: Teams can score a maximum 9 points (3 points per player) for "Painted" armies. When all models in a player's army have 3+ colours, a textured base and a painted rim they will be considered and scored as "Painted", exceptions to bases can be made if the obvious theme of the scheme doesnt call for a textured base. Primary Mission for both games will be: Take & Hold Start of Command Phase: Score 5 VP for each of the following (max 15 VP per turn): - Control 1 or more objectives. - Control 2 or more objectives. - Control more objectives than your opponent. Secondary missions: Secondary missions are fixed, teams will get to pick from 5, selected to encourage fairness, teamwork and exciting engagements spread over the board. - Rocover Assets - Bring It Down - Establish Locus - Assassination - Cleanse Timings: Participants are encouraged to arrive early to set up and settle in with the first game scheduled to kick off at 10.00am - First game begins 10.00 - 14.00 - Lunch break 14.00 - 15.00 - Second game begins 15.00 - 19.00 - Award ceremony/round up/feedback - 19.00 - 19.15 Should the first games overrun or finish early we can reduce the lunch hour or start the second game early if everyone is happy to.
