Boricua Film Festival – In Collaboration with AdocPR’s Cinema on the Road

The Boricua Film Festival in partnership with the Puerto Rico Documentary Filmmakers Association (AdocPR) proudly presents Cinema on the Road — a powerful selection of Puerto Rican documentaries that honor the island’s history resilience and activism.

This is more than a festival. It’s a cultural movement to:

• Preserve & Amplify Boricua Stories — Bringing Puerto Rican narratives to the forefront ensuring our voices are heard and our history is told through our own lens.
• Empower the Next Generation — Raising money to fund four $500 scholarships for trade vocational educational expenses or filmmaker projects — investing in the artists and leaders who will shape our future.
• Build Community Through Film — Creating space for connection education and action uniting audiences filmmakers and community leaders for meaningful dialogue.
• Create a Lasting Cultural Institution — Laying the foundation for an enduring tradition of Puerto Rican storytelling and advocacy in New Jersey.

About the Organizers

The Boricua Community Building Center (BCBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uplifting Puerto Rican communities through cultural advocacy education and grassroots action. Our mission is to strengthen identity support local solutions and open new opportunities for Puerto Ricans in New Jersey and across the diaspora.

We are honored to partner with AdocPR a network of over 70 Puerto Rican documentary filmmakers scholars and artists working to elevate Boricua stories on national and international stages.

Together we are bringing Cinema on the Road to

New Jersey as the heart of our inaugural festival.
