MSU Community Music School Presents: Adult Community Ensembles in Concert

EAST LANSING, MI – The Community Music School at Michigan State University invites you to an afternoon of dynamic music as the Adult Community Ensembles take the stage at Fairchild Theatre on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 PM. This concert is free and open to the public.
Join us as the Adult Jazz Band, Orchestra, and Concert Bands showcase a program featuring works by celebrated composers and arrangers.
The Jazz Band will bring vibrant energy with selections by Sammy Nestico, Jeff Jarvis, and Frank Mantooth, while the Orchestra presents pieces by Muhle, Sharp, Newbold, and Gruselle.
The Concert Bands will perform classic and contemporary favorites, including:
Amparito Roca by Jaime Texidor, Beguine for Band by Glenn Osser, Maestro by Randall Standridge, and favorites from The Sound of Music
A highlight of the afternoon will be an arrangement of Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Jody Knol, beloved host of 90.5 WKAR’s Classical Morning and producer of Great Lakes Concerts.
This concert is a celebration of lifelong musicianship and the power of community through music. Bring your family and friends to experience the joy of MSU’s adult ensembles!
