Mid-Michigan Spartans' College of Nursing (Granger Lab) Tour

The College of Nursing is celebrating its 75th year. In honor of its birthday, the Mid-Michigan Spartans are going behind-the-scenes to see the innovative ways that Michigan State University is preparing our next generation of Spartan Nurses.

The Granger Lab is home to state-of-the-art equipment designed to simulate real-life experiences for student nurses, so upon graduation they are practice ready. Students will develop skills such as Medic*tion administration, injection techniques, IV administration, wound care, urethral catheterization, and tracheostomy care. Low- and high-fidelity manikins serve as patients.

Participants will convene in the lobby of the Bott Building for a welcome from College of Nursing personnel and an opportunity to interact with fellow Mid-Michigan Spartans. Learning spaces have limited capacity. Attending participants will divide into smaller groups for the tour portion.

With a limited number of spaces, please ensure you are only registering individuals you are certain will attend. If you register for the event and your plans change, please alert the Mid-Michigan Spartans immediately so we can invite individuals from the waitlist.

For those attempting to register after the event fills, please add your name to the waitlist. If a space becomes available, we will let you know.

There is no cost to attend this experience. As with all Mid-Michigan Spartans' events, those interested in donating to the operations of our club are welcome to do so via the additional ticket option listed with this event. All contributions are appreciated and used to fund the general expenses of our programming. Donation tickets are not tickets to the tour. If you wish to attend the tour, as well as donate, be sure to select the College of Nursing Tour Admittance ticket in addition to the donation ticket.
