Welcome to Babeland — where the babes have babies (and yes, dads are totally welcome too). We’re a community of mindful parents rooted in attachment parenting and inspired by Waldorf principles — where childhood is sacred, hands are meant to create, and nature is the best playground.
Babeland began with shared wisdom on natural birth, breastfeeding, and all things crunchy. As our littles have grown, so has our camp. Now we center hands-on, heart-led experiences that invite kids to build, move, explore, and imagine — not just observe.
Babeland is nestled in one of the louder corners of camp, so bring ear protection or sound machines if your little ones are sensitive sleepers. It’s a joyful chaos, and we lean into it together — with community, creativity, and plenty of barefoot dancing.

We are located at Pangea Island right in the middle of the campground where all the (4-5) trees are :) There is no need to register, just come to the right spot, which is first come first serve. If you come late, the worst that will happen is that there won't be any spots with shade left. Last year we had plenty of room for everybody, albeit not all shady. Still, 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 to arrive as early as possible since it's easier to manage kids and set-up with some daylight. For information about parking, please see Rule #2 below.
There are outlets all over Pangea, including one right by Babeland. You can use these to blow up mattresses and bring them back to wherever you end up landing. Remember to bring your own pumps!
Last year there was no cell phone service on Pangea Island. This might have changed now, but don't count on it.

𝟏) We are very strict about recycling. Please follow general recycling principles and ALWAYS recycle.
𝟐) There is NO PARKING on the island (except for a few key volunteers). Anyone camping on Pangea Island, including Babelanders, needs to park the car just outside the island and then walk with your stuff to Pangea. This may be inconvenient in the beginning of the festival but proves to be a gift during, especially with everyone's kids running around. This "no parking" rule gives more space, freedom of movement, reduces vehicular noise and fumes, and increases safety for everyone! Parents who want to have a car with them at all times or want a quieter atmosphere are encouraged to park and camp in the general camping area outside of Pangea. Check the map for the exact place.
𝟑) Since this island is lacking trees, please bring tarps, canopies, and anything else to block the brutal sun during the day. You will not regret it.
𝟒) We will have babies and small children on our site so please keep cursing, yelling, and other offensive verbal outbursts to a minimum.
