Explore the basics of weaving with a simple frame loom. Learn how to warp, select materials for texture and strength and receive instruction on basket or plain weave, as well as a brief discussion of fringe and texture techniques for roving and foreign objects. Instruction will include weaving time as well as finishing and hanging your work.
Taught by Tami Fuller, award winning and internationally published fiber artist working in abstract and modern weaving techniques, and featuring Lost Pond Looms.
Course Fee: $58
Materials fee: $12 Supply (Wool, use of Loom Kit through class)
Loom may be purchased a la carte at the close of class.

The Western New York Fiber Arts Festival is a not-for-profit event organized to promote and preserve fiber arts education here in Western New York. Its focus is on heritage crafts and their close relationship with fiber producers who raise sheep, llamas, alpacas, goats and rabbits. The festival offers events and opportunities for the entire family and promises to engage fiber enthusiasts of all ages and expertise.
