2025 Bear Paw Festival - Chess Simul

Join us for an exhibition of simultaneous chess with Bryan Smith, the first and only Grandmaster from Alaska!

There will be 30 simultaneous games played, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The venue is adjacent to the Bear Paw Festival.

At the beginning of the event, Bryan will take some time to share his experience of chess in the Last Frontier.

Spectators of this event get in free.

To play versus Bryan in this event, players will need to sign up in advance - Player fees are $20 per person.
