Magic Loop

Friday, June 20th. Learn the Magic Loop-knitting in the round. This technique is for small circumference projects such as: mitts, socks, sleeves It also great for those who just want to avoid double points, seaming, or the “wrong” cord length. We will calculate pattern numbers based on the yarn you bring to class. Learn to cast on for Magic Loop- knit, purl, rib, and learn to cast off, including how to seam. To make a cowl or head band, bring thick yarn.

Prerequisite: Adventurous/Advanced Beginner knitter who is able to cast on/off, knit and purl, use circular needles and enjoys learning new techniques.

Materials you will need to bring or purchase on-site: 200 yards of worsted weight yarn or 200 yards yarn of your choice and appropriate size circular needle for yarn but need at least a 40 inch cord, locking stitch marker, beginning of round marker, waste yarn or stitch holders.
