What if we were kind? What if we were bold? What if we were curious? Come and hear the chorus sing an expansive selection of repertoire that invites us to listen, to be curious, and to dare to dream of what we can accomplish when we sing with the sound of one voice! Under the direction of Annie Roncolato, with collaborative pianist Eileen Snyder, this concert will feature contemporary choral works with texts by poets such as Maya Angelou, Wendell Berry, and Langston Hughes; as well as folk music and pop hits like “Defying Gravity” that celebrate the fruits of our collective action. As Maya Angelou wrote so clearly, “When we unite in purpose, we are greater than the sum of our parts”. Join our celebration of queer, collective power!

Story: Since the chorus’ inception in 2024, the group has been a space that supports and welcomes singers of all gender identities and voice types—especially singers who may be trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, or questioning. Spring of 2025 marked the beginning of the Triangle Pride Chorus as a core ensemble within the Triangle Pride Band, with Annie Roncolato as the director. The ensemble sings a broad range of genres including pop, classical, Broadway, and contemporary works. Their performances showcase their collaborative pianist Eileen Snyder, instrumentalists from within the chorus, and incredible musicians from other Triangle Pride Band ensembles.
