MISSY LANES PRESENTS: CECIL ALEXANDER QUARTET

Join us for an unforgettable evening with the Cecil Alexander Quartet, led by guitarist-composer Cecil Alexander—a bold, genre-fluid voice in modern jazz who’s just as comfortable in smoky standards as he is in spiritual futurism.

A Berklee graduate and Herbie Hancock Institute finalist, Cecil took first place in both the Wilson Center Jazz Guitar Competition and the Lee Ritenour Six String Theory Competition, and has shared stages with heavyweights like Bill Charlap, Antonio Hart, and Nathan East.

Most recently, he’s been touring alongside the visionary trumpeter and sonic architect Chief Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott)—a collaboration that threads ancestral rhythm with electric improvisation.* Expect that same energy to echo through Missy Lane’s walls.

His latest projects—miles and miles and Lunette—blend lush harmony, deep groove, and melodic storytelling in ways that transcend category. The Quartet’s live show is magnetic, fluid, and fearless.
