Introduction to Copperplate Script

Copperplate is a traditional calligraphy script written with a pointed nib and a sound basis for more modern and expressive styles. In this friendly and informal workshop, calligrapher Angela Reed will help you get to grips with using a dip pen and ink, before guiding you through the basic strokes required to form lower and upper case letters and join them together to create beautifully handwritten words. The ticket price includes a starter kit for you to use during the session and take him with you afterwards so you can continue your practice. Refreshments will also be provided.
