HGCA x DCCC at Durham Miners' Gala

We are proud to be attending this year's Durham Miners Gala - the world's greatest working-class festival and celebration of community and trade union values.

We'll be hosting an educational and community-focused stall to showcase the hard work we've been undertaking, and our future vision for the community garden and public park at Hemp Garden in Elvet.

We will be hosting a prescription cannabis consumption space for lawfully prescribed patients to relax and unwind, with hot and cold drinks available for a nominal donation towards our ongoing fundraising efforts to buy and convert the old toilet building into a community cafe.

Our friends from Durham City Cannabis Club will also be joining us to talk all things cannabis and provide hands-on examples of the multitude of commercial and industrial products that can be made from the humble plant Cannabis Sativa L.

Stop by our stall to learn more, meet some of the volunteer team, and sign the petition to stop Durham County Council from destroying such a vitally needed inclusive public green space!
