Join us for DISCover Ultimate Day on September 6th!
USA Ultimate is partnering with local ultimate frisbee organizations across the country to host DISCover Ultimate Day on September 6th, a fun and free event introducing youth athletes to the game of Ultimate Frisbee. Triangle Ultimate is hosting two DISCover Ultimate events in the Triangle, one in Durham and one in Apex.
Why try Ultimate Frisbee? Ultimate is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation and offers a powerful blend of physical activity, character development, and community connection — all built around a unique principle called Spirit of the Game, where players officiate themselves. Without referees, athletes gain valuable skills in conflict resolution, communication, and personal responsibility, while the sport’s culture fosters teamwork, empathy, and mutual respect.
Fun fact: Team USA just won gold at the World Games in Chengdu, China — and one of those athletes is a Triangle native that grew up playing in ultimate frisbee youth programs, just like this one!
