Learn your responsibilities as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) – the person charged with the management of your organization's drug and alcohol testing program.
Content covers issues faced by Drug Free Workplace programs and what the DER needs to be aware of and document compliance with. It will address both the North Carolina employer requirements of the Controlled Substance Examination Regulation Act (CSERA) as well as the overall US DOT requirements in alcohol and drug testing and specific issues of the Federal regulations.
Most importantly the training provides explanation and answers to any of the participant’s questions about their responsibilities to their employer and to the regulators of the Department of Transportation.
Workshop Leader: Vernon Smith, Safe-T-Works
This workshop is hosted by CPRC's Regional Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium. Through this program, CPRC administers a Regional Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium on behalf of our member governments and partner agencies to help them comply with the testing program requirements of the U.S Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Federal Transit Administration.
The program offers a lower rate to participating agencies through a cost-share model and provides technical expertise through a long-standing partnership with provider SafeTWorks.
