250th Anniversary of the Battle of Bunker (Breeds) Hill

Join us for the 2nd in the series of "Newmarket Heads to Revolution" as we celebrate USA 250.
it was 250 years ago today that New Market militia headed south to help with the siege of Boston. Newmarket historical Society Board Member Michael Provost will give a short talk on Newmarket's connections to Bunker Hill, followed by a showing of "New Hampshire Family 1775". This movie was created by Gary Anderson of NH PBS Channel 11 for the 1976 Bicentennial . It is the story of a local southeast NH family. Filmed at many local sites, the movies also features many members of the 1st New Market Militia in supporting roles.

There is no charge for this event, but seating is limited and doors will open at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 meeting. there will be refreshment sales and a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds benefiting the events of the USA250/NEWMARKET300 Celebrations.
