Bhandardara Fireflies Festival 2025 from Mumbai & Pune
The Bhandardara Fireflies Festival is an annual event that typically takes place in the village of Bhandardara. This village is located near Igatpuri in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra India. This festival will occur during the pre-monsoon season which is from May 2025 to June 2025 as this is when fireflies are most active.
During the festival visitors have the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing sight of thousands of fireflies lighting up the night. They gather in large numbers in the forests surrounding Bhandardara creating a magical spectacle as they light up the trees and bushes with their bioluminescence.
The Fireflies Festival starting from Mumbai and Pune usually includes a guided night walk through the forests to observe the fireflies along with other activities such as camping boat rides and swimming in the lake with a life jacket.

Day 1:
Meeting point and Pick Up from Mumbai
10.00 am: Meet Leader at Sanjay Gandhi National Park Gate Borivali East
(Pickup on Highway towards Sion can be Done do let us know at the time of Booking)
10.20 am: Goregaon Oberoi Mall
10.35 am: Andheri Hanuman Nagar Bus stop
11.00 am: Sion Lunch Home
11.30 am: Mulund Check Naka toll
11.55 am: Teen hath Naka bus stop
12.30 pm: Last pickup from Kalyan-Bhiwandi bypass.
Continue our journey to the base village.
Halt for Lunch on the way (TTMM)
05:00 pm: Reach Bhandardara Lake for Kajwa Mahotsav
05:30 pm: Take a boat ride to the campsite for the Fireflies festival
06:00 pm: Reach campsite and tent accommodation
06:30 pm: Tea & Biscuits at Camping Site. Enjoy the sunset view from the campsite.
08:00 pm: Witness the fireflies and enjoy the moment
10:00 pm: Dinner under Star-lit Sky
11.30 pm: Call off those who want to sleep in the tent can go others can enjoy storytelling or other games with the leader
(Note:- In Case of rain we might ask you to sleep in Rooms that will be shared separately for boys and girls
due to rains)
