Brand new offering for Autumn! π₯
COURSE DATES: SATURDAY 8TH & 15TH NOVEMBER 2025.
You must be available for both dates.
Developed in 16th century Japan, Raku is a fiery and adventurous method of producing lustrous and wildly unpredictable work of limitless possibilities.
Students will create traditional handbuilt kirinuki, pinch and sculpture pieces on the first day, using specialist raku tools and materials.
Each student will have the opportunity to create several entirely unique pieces. Glazing and firing is conducted on the second day, one week after the first.
βΌοΈ Due to the inherent heat and flame risks of raku firings, this course is only available to people over 18.
ππΌAll safety equipment, including shields, gloves and respirators, is provided.
ππΌSpaces are very limited to 6 per course.
ππΌPlease ensure you are available for both days to ensure satisfactory completion of your work, which is ready to take home at the end of the second day.
ππΌThis course is not available on a 1-to-1 basis.
A price of Β£200 includes all tuition, materials, H&S staffing, and refreshments.
