Springway Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The City of Sandy Springs is set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the official opening of the Springway Trail on Friday, May 2, at 1:00 p.m. The 1.88-mile scenic trail will provide access to the Chattahoochee River, connecting Morgan Falls Overlook Park to Roswell Road at Cimarron Parkway. The project included a multi-use, paved trail, retaining walls, a top-down boardwalk, drainage structures, pedestrian bridges, roadway realignments, landscaping, and trail signage. The $8.5 million project was constructed in partnership with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program, the PATH Foundation, and the Sandy Springs Conservancy, with a $3 million grant from the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program.
