Want to learn modern calligraphy and write your favourite book quotes on bookmarks?
Join me at Abbot House for a 2.5 hours workshop where you will learn the essentials of modern calligraphy using a brush pen to create your very own hand lettered bookmark.
You will learn:
- how to set up your space / hold pen and paper for comfort
- the basic strokes that form letters
- how to connect your breath with the pen strokes
- practising writing the alphabet,
- joining letters to form words,
- practise writing bookish quotes and phrases from books.
Using the technique you've learned, you will then write your favourite quote/words on the provided bookmarks.
All materials are provided (workbook, brush pen, blank bookmarks) which you will take home to continue practising your new skill.
No experience in calligraphy needed. The class is suitable for beginners as you will be guided through to the essentials of modern calligraphy with demonstrations. I will also provide you with one-to-one tuition.
