'Out to Sea' sees the band reaching over halfway with their monthly song release challenge, and also their seventh live music venue showcase in Dunedin. As the 2025 months dwindle away, the band has found an effective rhythm for writing, recording, and releasing new music. The monthly live shows have given the new songs proof that they fit along with the classics, and has given the band a tightness that can only come with an act that regularly performs live.
Cecil Turbine is the main man who has been helping the Constrictors to record the new songs. Cecil, who is known to the band as good friend Sam Healy, began recording the Constrictors in 2024 with 'Guilty' and 'Where'd You Sleep?'. Once the monthly single release idea formed, Sam's studio, Turbine sound, was chosen to record each song for 2025.
Cecil also makes music too, and the band is stoked to have him onboard to support the night.
Cecil's sound can be described as:
Blending Post-Rock dynamics, Ambient spaciousness and Modern Classical minimilism Cecil Turbine’s sound is akint to James Blake meets Sigur Ros.
