Lets roll back the clock a bit(Say 1996 )to when Djs were carrying crates of vinyl and this guys first Dj name was ..
DJ Genetik...based on his real name Gene Kennedy.
The then Nelson based tune smith ,Art Director for the iconic “The Gathering “was playing the length of the country in all the right places and a favourite at the legendary Bath St.

Moving forward In time till now Gene hasn’t slowed down and is now a prolific producer and his tracks have been released on seminal House labels such as Blockhead ,Paper and King St and a lot more .
He has been running the hottest House label in NZ Deep and Under Records for the last 10 years !
His tracks and his label artists tracks are a constant in the world wide underground dance charts .

As a DJ Gene plays Nu-disco, Jacking House, Garage ,House and Tech House.
With over 2 decades of being behind the decks he is dynamic and dangerous in the mix .

He is without question a New Zealand House heavy weight still playing clubs and festivals through NZ.
