Our open studio runs throughout the winter holidays and is packed with some of our favourite creative activities from 2025 to spark your imagination...

Draw your own unique winter woolly jumper design for Shaun the Sheep! You’ll find lots of inspiration, from the Fair Isle sweater in the Scottish Design Galleries to our collection of pattern-tastic books.

Discover and play with flora and fauna themed costumes, instruments and stories.

Be amazed by our huge, whimsical wonderland mural, designed by illustrator Bjorn Lie!

This activity is self-directed (under 14s must be accompanied) and suitable for families of all shapes and sizes.

Please note that the museum will be closed 25 & 26 December and 1 January & 6 January.
