Whether you are a food pantry leader, volunteers, or a community partner we invite you to come connect, learn, and share best practices.  

This gathering will focus on centering neighbors in food pantries— learning how we can ensure that our services are welcoming, trauma-informed, and responsive to community needs. 

Highlights include:  

 
Creating Safe Spaces: Trauma-Informed Pantries – A session led by Shareese Kess, LCSW, CCM, Chief of Staff at T.I.M.E. Organization, covering: 

• The effects of trauma and how they impact food access 

• Principles of trauma-informed care 

• Practical strategies for implementing trauma-informed practices 

Nutrition in Pantries – Kate Long, Director of Nutrition Programs, Maryland Food Bank, will explore: 

• The role of nutrition in food pantries 

• Strategies for gathering meaningful neighbor feedback
