In this relaxed and engaging workshop, artist and tutor, Ailsa Mackay will guide you through the essential techniques of using light and dark values to make elements recede into the distance or come forward with impact - an essential skill for any artist! Whether you're painting seascapes, landscapes, or abstracts, mastering values will help you bring your artwork to life.
What to Expect:
· Use values to create contrast, depth, and a sense of distance
· Master brush handling and palette techniques
· Train your eye to see and mix values effectively
· Practice loose, expressive painting techniques
· Complete your own abstract landscape with depth and atmosphere
· Take home essential painting skills to build your confidence
