Our community is stronger when we work together—not just in spirit, but in practice.
The Common Thread is a two-hour strategy and storytelling session designed to spark meaningful connections between nonprofit leaders, small business owners, and local ecosystem partners. Together, we’ll explore how cross-sector collaboration can strengthen our economy, deepen our impact, and build a more resilient Duluth.
Nonprofits and small businesses each play vital roles in our region—employing more than 60% of our local workforce combined. And yet, they often operate in silos. This gathering is an invitation to change that.
Through shared stories, world café conversations, and idea sharing, participants will:
- Discover what’s possible when community-minded organizations partner with purpose
- Identify mutual needs, strengths, and opportunities for collaboration
- Explore real-world examples that show the ROI—for both social good and business growth
- Connect with others committed to building a stronger local economy and community fabric
Whether you're a nonprofit seeking new ways to sustain your mission, a small business eager to give back in meaningful ways, or a connector ready to bridge sectors—this space is for you.
