Karen Ba will demonstrate and guide you into the singing Karelian songs called runolaulu. This genre roots us in folk poetry of the deep past, is still sung in present day Finland, and will carry "Finnishness" into the future. Please join me and Lynette Reini-Grandell to build the participation!

Also - check out Sauna Day Thursday, July 31, 2025 9am to 4pm - | at LSBR MN, Duluth MN. I am part of the all day sauna workshop. I offer 20 minutes of runolaulu time right before the lunch break at noon. (Please register separately for the sauna event to get the location details. It is not part of the main FinnFest event.)
