About the event

MAESTRA : Women Compose the Millenium

The community is welcome to this FREE concert celebrating the history of music through women.

This is an opportunity to hear little known works from the 11th century to today, featuring:

Hildegard von Bingen
Francesca Caccini
Marianna Martines
Fanny Mendelsohn
Lili Boulanger
Soon Hee Newbold

This concert has been inspiring to us and a reminder that women have been there shaping music the entire time and will continue to do so!

We will be performing in the auditorium at Lincoln Park Middle School. Parking in the upper lot is recommended. The auditorium is wheelchair accessible.

Please arrive between 6:00-6:30.
There will be an intermission.
Donations are welcome but it is always free!
You are invited to join us for a reception afterwards.
