Free RPG Day with Level Up Games - DULUTH

Level Up Games Duluth is excited to be hosting another awesome Free RPG Day!

We will receive a treasure trove of new and exclusive RPG adventures, previews, and accessories to provide an unparalleled day of roleplaying celebration. Full details on how you can obtain these items will be announced as we get closer to to the Event date. We plan to bring back our Quest Card to give you multiple ways to unlock free items while checking out all festivities.

One of those ways to earn goodies is to participate in one of the many Events taking place across our stores. Below is a description of the Events being hosted at this location (please check the Event location and Event title to ensure you are buying tickets for the correct store).

• Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme (12:00 - 4:00 PM)
  Monty Python’s Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme will be featured this Free RPG Day. Its creators say it's a role-playing game. No it isn’t! (It is.) This new, original rules-lite gaming system contains spam! It has guidance on designing adventures with spam. It has ready-to-run quests, spam, and guidance on designing one's own adventures... with spam. There are even tables for generating all sorts of things with spam. Come play in this wacky adventure inspired (lovingly ripped off) by the wonderful works (and spam) of Monty Python!
  
  
• Dungeons & Dragons: "An Actor's Life"(12:00 - 4:00 PM)
  Your adventuring group is invited to a weekend away at a noble’s secluded estate where they are introduced to a troupe of traveling performers. After a night’s entertainment, you and your adventuring group find yourself the suspects of a M**der you did not commit! You must now work together and form tenuous alliances in order to clear your name and bring the real culprit to justice.
  
  
• Daggerheart Quickstart Demo (1:00 PM to 4:00 PM)
  If you missed out the first time around on the day of the game's release, worry not! Daggerheart is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game of brave heroics, made by Darrington Press, the creators of the hit series Critical Role. When it’s time for the game mechanics to control fate, players roll one HOPE die and one FEAR die (both 12-sided dice), which will ultimately impact the outcome for your characters. In addition to dice, Daggerheart’s card system makes it easy to get started and satisfying to grow your abilities by bringing your characters’ background and capabilities to your fingertips.
  
  
• Dungeons & Dragons: "The Waystop" (2:00 - 6:00 PM)
  A violent storm has driven you and a band of strangers to take shelter in the long-abandoned Cutter’s Lodge. The lodge is haunted by dark whispers and vengeful spirits. As night falls, you must navigate a web of secrets, supernatural threats, and uneasy alliances to survive until dawn.
  
  
• Call of Cthulhu: "The Will of Dilman" (5:00 - 9:00 PM)
  A wealthy businessman from upstate Connecticut is dying, with no willing heirs to his estate. He invites you to attend the last great game at his villa before he chooses the subject of his will. Will you attend to the last wishes of an old man? Will you become the inheritor of his great estate? And why did he ask for you?
  
  

• Castle Whiterock (Dungeons & Dragons, 5th Edition) (5:00 - 9:00 PM)
  Welcome to the halls of Castle Whiterock. A place of death and danger. A home to evil. And a symbol of good’s triumph over the wretched. It now lies in ruins. A place that only those with no fear—or no hope—dare to tread. Now, a mysterious beacon eminates from an ancient, ruined watchtower of Castle Whiterock. After all these centuries, who or what keeps the beacon lit, and what dark secrets are held in those hallowed chambers? And do you have the courage to discover why?
  
  

• Marvel Multiverse RPG (5:00 - 9:00 PM)
  Time to party with Tony Stark! This Free RPG Day book includes an all-new Thunderbolts adventure, and an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game: Avengers Expansion (releasing September 17). After being invited to Avengers Tower to celebrate Tony’s birthday, you and your team find your hands full when Asgardian ne’er-do-wells crash the big event.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Necessary Materials: Nothing, absolutely nothing! All materials will be entirely provided for you, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own dice if you would like.
  
  Cost: Events are entirely free, but we ask that you PLEASE take into consideration that if you cannot make an Event after acquiring a ticket(s) for it, that you come back here and cancel/release it so that someone else might play that day!
