Following on from the soundbath and gongbath held in the Singing Cavern in 2018 and 2019, the space is booked again for a special sound event to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
Climbing on board a narrowboat, you will be gently transported through the canal tunnels to the magnificent Singing Cavern for an hour of deep relaxation. Lying on comfortable airbeds, you will be immersed in the therapeutic sounds of the Mars, Chau, Sun and Wind Gongs, and Therapeutic percussion such as shakers, rattles and chimes. You will have the chance to experience relaxation on a deep level, allowing the body’s systems to relax, rebalance and re-energise.
Sound has been proven to facilitate a deeper meditative state and one that remains with the individual for a greater period of time than that of similar relaxation processes.

After the soundbath there will be some time for you to reflect on your experience before climbing back aboard the boat and be returned to the outside world, where there will be refreshments for you to enjoy.
These sessions are ideal for anyone who would like to enjoy the opportunity for deep relaxation, and the gongbath is open to everyone, except for pregnant ladies in their first trimester. If you currently have or are being treated for severe/clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or any other serious mental health condition please contact me.
As it gets a little chilly in the cavern, please wear comfortable clothes and a hat, and bring a mat, cushions and blankets so that you can be a snug and cosy as possible. A sleeping bag is a great option!
