★ Free Movie! Anora

Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque will show the movie "Anora" on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, "Anora" (2024) is a romantic comedy drama about a New York stripper who marries the son of a Russian oligarch. Mikey Madison won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance as Anora, while Sean Baker won Oscars for Best Director, Original Screenplay, and Film Editing.

This 2 hour 16 minute movie is rated R for "strong sexual content throughout, graphic nudity, pervasive language, and drug use." Closed captioning or subtitles will be turned on.
