MINDFUL MOVEMENT JUST FOR TODAY WEDNESDAY.find a quiet place. Blow Up Like a Balloon
We forget we’re inflatable.
Not like a pool toy — but like a living, breathing creature that’s meant to expand and release. When stress hits, we shrink inward. Our breath gets shallow, our chest stays still, our belly tightens. This quick reset reminds your body it’s safe, loosens the knots in your shoulders, and switches your nervous system from “go, go, go” to “you’re okay.”
Try this:
Place your hands on your belly — one over your navel, one over your ribs.
Inhale slowly through your nose until your hands rise. Feel your chest gently lift and your tummy round out like it’s making space for something warm and good.
Hold for a moment and imagine you’re a bright, buoyant balloon, full of light.
Exhale through your mouth in slow motion. Feel your chest drop, your stomach soften, your shoulders melt.
Repeat 3–5 times, letting each breath be a little fuller, a little slower than the last.
Why it works: Deep belly breathing gives your body the signal to stand down from stress mode. It lowers your heart rate, loosens muscle tension, and leaves you feeling a little more spacious inside — like you’ve traded tension for air.
When you’re done, notice: shoulders lower, mind clearer, letting go of all the thoughts in your head float away like balloons you can name then and blow them into your balloons let them out up into a clear blue sky watching them getting higher and higher just like the clouds floating away and come back to your breath your body lighter — all from remembering you can expand.let go of all that doesn’t serve you relax and enjoy your time to yourself and when you’re ready to come back to your safe space ready for your day ahead.calm and relaxed namaste Trish #yogaandmeditationteacher #breathworktraining #breathworkhealing #reikimaster #reikipractitioner #reikihealingenergy
