Yesterdays – Dorota Konchevska & Myles Drennan

The duo for this performance is vocalist/sound artist Dorota Konchevska and pianist Myles Drennan. Long-time collaborators, they have built a musical dialogue and friendship shaped by philosophy and play. Together, they honor the jazz lineage while not being stuck up their own arrangements. 

Yesterdays begins in the intimate world of jazz standards and gradually unfolds into new soundscapes. What starts as a traditional duo transforms throughout the set - electronics seep in, poetry speaks through the music, and field recordings of nature mingle with improvisation. The result is order and play, silence … wonder and nice release.

Dorota Konczewska – Voice, Electronics, Sound ArtA vocalist, and audiovisual artist based in Ireland, Her distinct sound blends atmospheres, beats, and traditional instrumentation with fearless experimentation. She has collaborated internationally with musicians, dancers, and filmmakers, with works commissioned.

Myles Drennan – PianoA celebrated presence on Ireland’s jazz scene, Myles Drennan comes from a distinguished musical family and was mentored by the legendary Louis Stewart. Known for his lyrical, expressive playing, he has led his own trio and performed with leading ensembles including the John Moriarty / Myles Drennan Quartet, bringing depth to every performance.
